Today was all about wandering through Greenwich Village before hooking up with Chuck's daughter, Natasha and her partner, Adom. We started at Washington Square Park taking in the sights. Although the forecast was for "a passing shower in the afternoon," it never happened. We were in t-shirts all day and into the evening.

We saw lots of entertaining things today.
I decided on a container of fresh fruit and a yogurt from an organic grocery store for my lunch. We walked back to the park and found an empty bench to sit on. A crazy, homeless woman with one tooth and a shopping cart bulging with her belongings was ranting and raving so I suggested we move to another location. Just then, Chuck heard piano music and we walked over to where we thought it was coming from. How could we have expected to find a grand piano in the park? The player was very talented and we relaxed and listened for quite awhile. But how did he get it there?
On our ride to Columbia University, where we were attending a play with Natasha and Adom, we were entertained by a Mariachi band.

The play was excellent and we all enjoyed it. We went back to their apartment to visit after a wonderful dinner at a hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint with delicious, cheap food: Taqueria y Fonda la Mexicana, 968 Amsterdam Ave.

Now they show you how detergents take out
bloodstains, a pretty violent image there. I think if you've got a
T-shirt with a bloodstain all over it, maybe laundry isn't your biggest
problem. Maybe you should get rid of the body before you do the wash. ~ Jerry Seinfeld
